Day 1 Yogyakarta: Royal Culture & Ancient Temples
Your guide meets you at Yogyakarta Airport. The city of Yogyakarta — called “Jogja” by locals — is the cultural soul of Java. Home to the Sultan’s Palace, ancient batik traditions, and two of the greatest temples ever built by human hands.
This afternoon: visit the Kraton (Sultan’s Palace) and the atmospheric Taman Sari water castle. As the sun sets, drive to Prambanan — the towering 9th-century Hindu temple complex dedicated to Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu, its 47-metre spires glowing gold in the evening light.

Day 2 Borobudur Sunrise → Journey to Bromo
4:30 AM Drive to Borobudur before dawn.
As the mist clears from the jungle below, you stand at the top of the world’s largest Buddhist temple as the sun rises over the volcanoes of Central Java. 2,672 relief panels. 504 Buddha statues. Built in the 9th century and lost to the jungle for 1,000 years until it was rediscovered in 1814.
After sunrise, explore Borobudur’s extraordinary stone galleries with your private guide, who brings every carved panel to life.
Then drive east toward Bromo — approximately 7 hours through Central and East Java’s countryside. Stop for lunch at a local warung. Arrive at your hotel near Cemoro Lawang in the late afternoon.

Day 3 Bromo Sunrise → Drive to Ijen
